Production updates on Eastward, Dead Space + Legacy of Kain stretch goals

Thanks ever so much once again for your huge level of support on our Legacy of Kain encyclopedia + TTRPG project. We’ve surpassed our crowdfunding goal by a long mile, became fully funded in under 1 hour, and at time of writing, are about to hit our £375k stretch goal and are fast approaching the much-requested vampire ruleset £400k stretch goal.

Fingers and toes crossed, we’re hoping that we’ll hit this now before our campaign closes on February 28th, but we are preparing another round of stretch goal potentials as we speak. All of your support and sharing of the campaign makes it better and better for everyone backing.

Also, a huge thank you to everyone who had been awaiting on an outstanding order. With a handful of exceptions on the way out the door imminently, we have now shipped almost 100% of the outstanding orders. We provided almost-daily updates on this at our production blog post, and hope all those shipped orders will arrive to everyone as fast as regional shipping services allow.

Looking ahead, we have a lot of projects in various exciting stages of development here, from Eastward: Design Works, IMMORTALITY: Design Works, KILL THE PAST: 25 Years of Grasshopper Manufacturer, and more. We’re giving production updates on items as soon as we have the information, on an almost weekly basis, both via newsletter + our production update blog.

Eastward: Design Works

In our last update, we shared that Eastward: Design Works was going to print.

The team gathered together in London to look over each page and ensure we were pleased with the quality that was being sent off, printed, and preserved, and we can't wait to get the final book in our hands.

Above, we've shared some images of our box and slipcase dummies for the Deluxe Edition. For every project, these unprinted dummy versions are created for us to look at, ensure everything fits in without any damage, check material qualities, and make potential alterations before going ahead with the production of the final printed versions. We’re happy to report no issues on this front, with the printing process going forward.

As before, we don't want to give firm shipping dates yet, in case we're accidentally providing you information that ends up being false from unexpected delays. For transparency, we're hoping to have the books shipped to our warehouse in early March, but as this is not yet set in stone, we'll provide an update again in the future with more firm shipping times.

Still Wakes the Deep + Dead Space

Customers of Still Wakes the Deep, made by Cook and Becker in collaboration with yours truly, are being sent a separate update email on this directly via Cook and Becker today.

We’ll provide the occasional update and cool production images on projects we’ve collaborated on that are sold via Cook and Becker’s site, but any vital order-related updates will be emailed directly to customers on their end.

Make Us Whole: Dead Space, our book diving into the definitive history of one of our favourite survival-horror series and the first instalment of our text-focused Cult Classics imprint, is making great production progress. We’ve completed the first edit of the book, with our estimated Q2 2025 shipping window currently still on track. We’ll keep you all updated on progress via newsletters + our production update blog.

Legacy of Kain

At time of writing, we are just about to hit our £375k stretch goal for our Legacy of Kain campaign!

This means, on top of the previous stretch goal unlocks, the Scourge of the Sarafan book will now have an embossed front cover for anyone who has included the TTRPG in their order.

The higher our total on BackerKit, the better both the encylopedia book and the tabletop role-playing game will be for everyone. With just over 2 weeks remaining, we’re already cooking up our next set of stretch goals, just in case. So far, you have unlocked:

Our most requested stretch goal: rally against the Sarafan Brotherhood and turn the tides of the vampire purge! Scourge of the Sarafan writer Leo Hunt adds all-new rules to our vicious MÖRK BORG-compatible tabletop experience.

Things are looking good for us hitting this high-demand goal, but every backer, every share helps us reach it.

We’re keeping our £425,000 goal a secret for now, and will reveal it alongside a new set of potential stretch goals if we hit this amount before the end of the campaign on February 28th.
