Today, we want to share some exciting news about The Console Chronicles!

Our upcoming book, dedicated solely to the broad history of home consoles, is coming to retail in collaboration with our friends at Expanse and HarperCollins. We’re pleased to announce that it will officially launch on September 12 across all major storefronts, including Amazon, Waterstones, Target, Walmart, and more.

This retail edition features all the written material found in our Lost In Cult version; the main difference is that it uses wonderful photography from Hookshot Media’s Damien McFerran, as opposed to the illustrations found in our edition. Fear not — both are totally stunning! Whichever version you purchase, you’ll get to enjoy the same incredible stories.

As a quick reminder: the Lost In Cult version will ship in August!

The Lost In Cult edition of The Console Chronicles also comes with the controller-focussed zine, Port, created by the inimitable Dan Clarke. Within it are four offbeat essays about how we play, all unified by Dan’s elegant design tenets. It’ll look nothing like The Console Chronicles, but that’s what makes it an amazing compliment to the book.

Please enjoy this small preview of Port:
