Job Description:
Lost in Cult is an award winning publisher, focusing on celebrating and documenting video games as a culturally significant art form. We are intentionally curative in our approach, working with exceptional brands known for pushing the medium of games forward, with artistic qualities that allow for exquisite art books and vinyls to be made. From our quarterly publication, [lock-on], to our Design Works series, we celebrate the very best of the video games industry through carefully crafted written word and thoughtful, creative design.
You would be an integral part of a small and friendly design team, responsible for bringing our books and journals to life.
You should be:
Someone with 5+ years of experience as a graphic designer
Experienced in editorial design
Confident in Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
An enthusiastic problem solver
Organised and diligent in documenting your work
A team player who likes to collaborate
Curious to learn new skills
Able to work with client feedback
Confident in presenting and talking about your ideas
Experienced in working with manufacturers and sending work to print
You will be:
Creating packaging and design concepts for our books
Working with writers, illustrators, editors and game developers
Curating and organising visual content for our books
Developing material palettes and print specs
Working with our marketing team to develop assets for our campaigns
Leading projects from start to finish
Laying out long form editorial projects
Supporting the creative director and design director in briefing freelancers and junior designers
Giving feedback to freelancers and junior designers
Preparing and sending complex artwork to print
Encompassing the values that underpin all we do at Lost In Cult
*Whilst it’s not essential that you be an avid gamer, an appreciation of video games as an art form and an enthusiasm to learn about them would be appreciated.

Happy to take on board feedback and work in a collaborative manner
Curious to learn about the printing and manufacturing processes
